Who are we?

     A t the end of the 19th century, Marianna, great-grandmother of one  the present shopkeepers sold and exchanged, in what is today one of the few more ancient places of the archipelago, situated in  via Garibaldi, 33, in the historical centre and under the castle's rock:fruit, vegetables, capers, wine (the local malvasia) together with first necessity products such as flour, oil, olive, which, at that period, arrived on the island in the small port of Marina corta, distant two steps from the shop, on board asailing ship from the Mediterranean sea.

The years went by and Marianna's daughter Lucia kept on the activity until she handed it down to her own daughter Natalina who, found herself as a very young shopkeeper not only  in front of the insularity problems but also of the privations due to the after war period.

Then came Silvana, her daughter, present shopkeeper together with Sandro  who took over the shop and gave it back to the place its characteristical splendour, creating a proper mark, a line of typical products, giving it the name of Essepiù which is no more than the fusion of the initials of their own names.

To the sale of so many High quality products has been added the production of typical cakes, liquors, jams, unfindable preserves, guided by the continuous will to propose always the best.
In 1990, the shopkeepers, Sandro e Silvana took the decision to add to these activities a wine shop with a tasting corner counting today  about  600 labels of wines from the all over the world. They finally open in 1997, another small shop, situated in the yard along the port of  Sottomonastero in Lipari, that bring to their clients and themselves many satisfactions, witnessed by the so many articles published in the local stamp - and not only.

On these days, in 2005, they are thinking to tranfer the via Garibaldi shop to other promises, bigger and more friendly.
